• Flexibility: Install or remove quickly for gatherings, maintenance, or seasonal use — no permanent change to landscaping or pool deck.
• Visibility & aesthetics: Low-profile mesh or clear-panel options preserve sightlines and the island’s outdoor living appeal.
• Cost-effective: Lower upfront cost than permanent aluminum, glass, or masonry fences; reduced long-term replacement expense if damaged by storms.
• Effective child & pet protection: Properly installed removable fences meet safety standards (height, no-toehold bottom) and provide a reliable physical barrier.
• Minimal permitting: Often classified as temporary, reducing permit hurdles and HOA friction in many municipalities.
• Damage resilience: In hurricane-prone areas, removable fences can be taken down before storms to avoid destructive wind loads and flying debris damage.
• Portability & resale value: Transferable between properties or removed for resale staging without leaving permanent fasteners or holes.

• Durability concerns: Choose heavy-duty, UV- and salt-resistant mesh with reinforced aluminum posts and marine-grade hardware to last in Puerto Rico’s climate.
• Stability: Use proper deck anchors, tension straps, and ground stakes; professional installation reduces sagging and gaps.
• Aesthetics: Modern removable options come in low-visibility mesh or frameless-look systems that blend with landscaping.
• Security vs. permanent fences: Removable fences are highly effective when used as part of a layered safety plan (alarms, covers, supervision); for extreme security needs, pair with a permanent perimeter fence.

• Homeowners who host frequently and need temporary open access.
• Renters or owners planning to sell—no permanent modifications.
• Properties in hurricane zones that benefit from pre-storm removal.
• Families needing an economical yet compliant child/pet barrier.

• Mesh: Heavy-duty, UV-stabilized polyester coated mesh with tight weave.
• Posts: Anodized aluminum or marine-grade stainless steel for corrosion resistance.
• Anchors: Recessed deck anchors for concrete/pavers; removable sleeve anchors for wood decks.
• Gates: Self-closing, self-latching gate with childproof latch and option for keyed lock.
• Bottom clearance: Max 1 inch for child safety; consider ground-skirting to prevent digging pets from slipping under.
• Extras: Wind straps for stability, reinforced corners, and quick-release fittings for fast removal.

• Professional install recommended to ensure tension, anchor placement, and compliant gate operation.
• Inspect monthly and after storms for wear, sagging, or anchor loosening.
• Rinse with fresh water to remove salt; use UV-protectant cleaners for mesh.
• Store panels dry and shaded during extended disuse to prolong life.

Living in Puerto Rico year round presents challenges for pool owners due to the sheer fact that foliage is a year round problem. Those leaves and debris tend to get blown into the pool and then with the reaction of the chemicals often times there is an etching effect in the pool or a stain in the shape of the pool. A pools safety cover will keep the leaves out as well as keep the pool secure. Contact Pool Guard of Puerto Rico for your free estimate today. Save money by having a pool cover and not having to remodel your pool bottom annually.
